Associate Veterinarian
Bay Animal Hospital
Tell us what your dream job would be. Let's see what we can do to make it happen!
As our practice continues to attempt to meet the huge demand for our services, we are looking for part time or full time associates to join our Bay Animal Hospital team!
You will be performing small animal medicine. We see mostly dogs, cats and a small number of ferrets, rabbits, and other small mammals.
We have a major focus on work-life balance, with no weekend work, a full day off during the week for full-time employees, and a very reasonable end-of-day time, so we can all go home to enjoy our families. We provide work-from-home when possible (ie. CE) and are open to new ideas to expand this, utilizing our recent investments in communications technology.
As an associate veterinarian your primary responsibility is for patient care, striving to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for our patients. In order for you to have time to do your absolute best for each patient, you will be incredibly well-supported by amazingly well-trained VA's and LVT's. We just need you to do the tasks that actually require your DVM degree and let the team do the rest. If you have any special interests in practice, it's likely we have the cases, equipment and team to support it! Our veterinarians must be able to promote teamwork, and communicate well with pet owners and staff members.
Good “people” skills are a must, and one of the most important qualifications. Candidate must have a drive to learn and educate those around them. We believe strongly in continual improvement and actually have a Director of Education.
New graduate would be welcomed and enthusiastically mentored!
Education and/or Experience:
Veterinarian degree (DVM) from accredited college or university and current Michigan veterinary license and DEA registration must be maintained. Must demonstrate desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.
