Overview:
The Human Resource Associate plays a crucial role in supporting our organization's human resources operations, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, and HR policies. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Lead efforts to recruit compassionate and qualified staff, emphasizing the importance of a supportive environment for our residents.
- Oversee onboarding and training processes, ensuring staff are well-prepared to meet our residents' needs.
- Conduct background checks and reference checks, including uploading and completing state forms.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a key point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a supportive atmosphere that aligns with our mission and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain HR policies that support our organizational goals and healthcare standards.
Performance Management and Investigations:
- Conduct timesheet investigations using camera footage and manage timesheet corrections.
- Handle reprimands and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Process and complete EIM (Enterprise Incident Management) Investigations through the HCSIS portal.
- Facilitate performance evaluations, ensuring staff meet the high standards required for care and adherence to state regulations.
HR Administration:
- Maintain meticulous records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and facilitating audits.
- Conduct checks against Exclusions Lists (LEIE, MEDI, SAM) to ensure compliance.
- Manage and update site information and employee contact information daily.
- Request and track updated documents prior to expiration, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
- Administer payroll and benefits, emphasizing transparency and fairness.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in human resources, healthcare, or assisted living settings.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, scheduling software, and Gmail capabilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Discretion and understanding of confidentiality issues.
