Responsible for Material Planning and Production Control functions. Plan inventory levels and shop floor order releases based on dependent and independent demand via Bill of Material (BOM) requirements or Depot ROR turn-around times. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of manual and automated Material Requirement Planning (MRP) tools, and material distribution or work order release using time-phased concepts. Tasks associated with the Production Control function include but are not limited to analyzing material positions, releasing purchase requisitions, releasing work orders and tracking sub-assemblies as well as top level assemblies through production per the schedule requirements, requesting material from the warehouse and kitting components to the next higher assembly, analyzing work-in-process (WIP) to evaluate program position, creating Line of Balances, set material and assembly priorities with Functional and Line Managers to ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule or takt plan, coordinate efforts across functions to process discrepant material in a timely manner, prepare reports and status manufacturing progress within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) atmosphere as well as participating in various factory meetings, and review contract requirements for deliveries while generating the request for shipping documentation.
2+ years’ experience working in a Manufacturing/Production Control environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Able to communicate and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment
Able to recognize and resolve problems
Must be organized with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple tasks
Aptitude for analytical thinking
Strong sense of accountability
Understanding of manufacturing systems and processes
Experience with SAP manufacturing system
Ability to Obtain U. S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Ability to create manual time phased assembly plans
Able to analyze various assembly schedules (manual and automated) to determine potential barriers
Required Education: BS / BA from an accredited university
