Implementation Specialist, Field Services

The Valmarc Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation lifecycle of Valmarc Total Vision (VTV™). Work with cross-functional teams to achieve deadlines and milestones, assess risks sand communicate risks to management to ensure successful implementations. The Valmarc Implementation Specialist works independently, and as part of a team, with a business background and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Salem NH at our Pat V. Costa Innovation Center, you'll travel the world on 7-14 day trips installing VTV and training factory staff and management personnel.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participate as a specialist on a project team that will design, configure and install VTV™ at remote site locations according to specifications:
  • Participate in site surveys at factories and distribution centers to prepare for full installations
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Network Engineer to provide solutions for factories
  • Provide on-site installation services and assistance to help factories with VTV™
  • Diagnose and solve issues related to the software applications
  • Performs required tasks to ensure timely go live and customer satisfaction
  • Educate, train and monitor factory management, production managers and workers about VTV™ procedures
  • Routine international travel performing site surveys and installations
  • Work closely with Production Support to ensure local installed base is supported to proper standards
  • Produces and submits timely and accurately service documentation following VTV™ procedures and guidelines
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects for testing, training, documentation and exhibition installations
  • Successfully support multiple complex projects and communicate project statuses to project managers
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks during all phases of a project
  • Develop standard and custom documentation defined as part of the implementations
  • Participate and support development of team members through cross-training
  • Contribute to the definition of standard and custom installation methodology and continue to improve on current installation process through post-mortems and industry best practices
  • Define requirements with customers and develop dashboards and reports as needed for projects
  • Support –pre-sales activities as needed (create presentations, participate in demos, etc.)

Skills / Experience

  • Previous field installation experience preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain, or Cable/ network /factory environment:
  • 1- 3 years customer facing experience in an implementation role, including some basic project management experience
  • Familiarity with database tools and SQL a plus
  • Previous basic networking knowledge a plus
  • Skilled in using Powerpoint and MS Office Suite to build presentations and documentation

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree preferred
  • Comfortable in a cross-cultural and multi-language work environment
  • Team oriented, flexible, adaptable and able to cope with pressure
  • Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing and growing environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete a background check/employment history check
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally (Up to 50% at times)
  • Must possess (or be able to renew) passport with ability to be approved for business visas (China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Europe,+)
  • Ability to speak conversational Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus, but not required
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
