Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Traveling Field Technician for a 6-month contract with the potential to transition to a full-time position. In this role, you will be responsible for performing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of technical systems and equipment. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure the proper functioning of our systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. This position requires extensive overnight travel to various field locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, performing necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex problems.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Prepare detailed reports on service visits, including findings and solutions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar field technician role; field experience in an agricultural environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing technical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to travel extensively overnight across the U.S. and work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary.
- Ability to work in field settings and outdoors, in a bee environment.
