The Print and Mail Services Production Supervisor will provide first line supervision for a group of employees operating within the Print, Design and Mail Services Section. Supervision is exercised over Offset Press Operators, Reproduction Equipment and Bindery Operators, Mail Services Workers and other employees engaged in providing printing, design and mailing services. This position will require high-level supervisory and communication skills, first line supervision of technical and trades staff, administering performance evaluations, working knowledge of printing, graphic design, desktop publishing, bindery equipment and processes, postal regulations, security and permits, mail processing and inserting equipment, superior analytical ability and problem solver. Must have expertise with technology, including navigating and reporting from a proprietary printing database and skills in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Excel and Word. It will require the ability to analyze and make print quality decisions on print jobs and configuring new mail routes for maximum efficiency and changing operational needs of the section. Incumbent must work in a highly dynamic environment involving both planned and unplanned activities.

SALARY

$20.44 (minimum) - $30.44 (maximum) hourly / $42,515 - $63,315 annually. Appointment can be made above the minimum depending upon qualifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

One year of paraprofessional experience printing and graphic design services or aiding an administrative officer in technical and administrative problems or government research.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, public or business administration or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – The job requirements listed above, plus:

Two years of experience in printing and graphic design services and at least one year of experience in mail room operations/processes, including two years of supervisory or lead experience preferably in a governmental agency.
Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record
