Job Responsibilities

Provide leadership within the value stream and with suppliers to improve overall supplier performance

Collaborates with Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations to identify specific supplier improvement

Leads multi-functional teams in various supplier development initiatives:

Value Stream Mapping, 6 Sigma projects, and Rapid Improvement Workshops

Lean integration into supplier operations

Ability to help resolve supplier quality issues leveraging 6 Sigma tools

Assist suppliers in developing their own expertise in Lean 6 Sigma methodology.

Provides input into the supplier selection team and on-going supplier relationship management in a subject matter expert role.

Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering

5 years of experience or 8-10 years of years of experience

Experience with forging/machining/welding/foundry manufacturing processes

6 Sigma Experience

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and delegate effectively

Ability to train and facilitate workshops

Required Skills

Ability to liaison between the suppliers and the company to accomplish improvements in supplier quality

Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to use and communicate statistical and problem-solving tools

Project Management Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

Understanding of change management principles

Multiple Locations Available, Travel Required
