HydroTech is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer in our NYCoffice. Typical projects involve hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater mitigation, stormwater management design, storm drainage design, floodplain management and analysis, and other watershed planning projects.
Responsibilities
Candidates will work with experienced staff to create and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic and other surface water resource issues. Candidates will also conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling and floodplain delineations using GIS-based engineering and mapping tools. · Develop strong client relationships in a Project Manager role.
· Lead multi-disciplined teams of professionals on sizable design projects.
· Candidate should be able to perform engineering analysis; develop preliminary and detailed designs of sustainable stormwater and flood mitigation solutions; and write specifications and construction documents.
· Manage and/or provide technical support for resilience, water resources, and hazard mitigation projects.
· Progressive experience conducting project delivery for stormwater and resilience projects in coastal and interior drainage communities, including Stormwater, flood control channels and tide gates is a plus.
Required Skills & Required Experience:
· B.S. or MS Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related engineering field), with emphasis in water resources.
· 7+ years’ water resources-related experience.
· Experience in watershed and storm water management, design of stormwater quantity and quality control measures, surface water hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, and watershed/waterway modeling.
· Demonstrated knowledge of hydrology and open channel hydraulics.
· Knowledge/experience with hydrodynamic modeling programs such as PC-SWMM, MIKE, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
· Knowledge/experience with ESRI Arc GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, TR-20, AutoCAD.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in basic MS Office software
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· P.E. license preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
