We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a part-time Leasing Consultant position in Farmers Branch, Texas. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to conduct all daily business activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act and all other laws pertaining to a career in the multi-family housing industry.

The Leasing Consultant is the property's sales representative whose primary duty is to greet prospects, professionally present the features and benefits of their assigned property and properly secure lease agreements from qualified persons. A Leasing Consultant is service oriented and strives to make current residents feel welcome and comfortable in their community.

The Leasing Consultant will contact a person of authority should any situation warrant an action or decision not included in his or her duties and responsibilities.


Conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
Must have complete knowledge of Fair Housing Compliance laws pertaining to apartments.

Maintains a professional, yet friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents and residents meet.
Inspect models and market ready vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness.
Answers incoming phone calls and handles accordingly whether it is a prospect call, irate resident, service request, etc. Transfer calls to Associate Community Director or Community Director when appropriate.
Greets prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, professionally presents community and specific apartments while providing features and benefits.
Maintains awareness of local market conditions and trends. Contributes ideas to the Community Director for marketing property and for improving resident satisfaction.
Attend all apartment association meetings.

Correctly completes all lease applications, assists with application verification and notifies prospective residents of results. Types miscellaneous resident communications as needed.
Completes all lease paperwork including related addendums, accepts rents and deposits.
Completes Marketing Information form on all prospects, sends thank-you notes and performs follow-up.
Physically inspects property when on grounds, picks up litter and reports any service needs to service staff. Inspects move-outs and vacancies.
Inventories office supplies on periodic basis.
Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases and paperwork.
Attends company meetings when requested.
Assists Community Director and Associate Community Director in preparation of daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.

Performs any additional duties assigned by Associate Community Director, Community Director or Regional Director.

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 1 year work experience in the Multi-family Housing Industry.
Proficient in MS Office applications as well as Yardi Voyager and Rent Cafe property management software.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Should also have effective oral and written communication skills.
Professional attitude a must.
Valid Driver's License.
