Position Description:

Serves as Director for the Academy’s financial aid program and administers all student billing transactions within the Business Office. Collaborates with the C.F.O. and Director of Enrollment Management to identify strategies for increasing enrollment and revenue. Works closely with Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact for parents for all student account and financial aid related inquiries.
  • Manage all aspects of student account billing including tuition billing, administration and adjustment of payment plans, and collection of past due balances.
  • As Director of Financial Aid, responsible for administration of financial aid process including correspondence with families, application and financial statement review, and award eligibility determination. Attend Academy Admissions events across all campuses to discuss financial aid process with families.
  • Work with C.F.O. to determine annual financial aid budgets and set tuition levels. Track tuition revenue and discounting across all grade levels.
  • Coordinate with Controller in preparation for annual audit and IRS 990 filing.
  • Collaborate with Admissions team to manage the enrollment process for new families and the re-enrollment process for current families.
  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by the C.F.O.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Strong consideration given to candidates who hold an MBA.
  • Financial aid experience and accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong understating of Microsoft Office Software, especially Excel. TADS and Blackbaud experience a plus.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Excellent health and retirement benefits are part of the employment package. Lunch is included when school is in session. Funding exists to support continuing education and professional development.
