We have an opening for a FIELD TECHNICIAN to solve a Contractor’s site-based sluice gate/valve start up needs. This position is responsible for helping our clients install, repair, and maintain our equipment. The candidate must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and comply with all Environmental, Safety & Health procedures.
Salary - $ 60,000 to $ 90,000 depending on experience Location – Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
Manage on site gate installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks (Installation is done by the contractor, Field Technician scope is to guide them over the phone or in person on installing equipment per O&M manual)
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
Produce timely and detailed service reports for project managers records.
Work with contractor to troubleshoot and diagnose problems and arranges parts from our facility as needed.
Responsible to identify modifications to existing product documentation and communicate to project team.
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of work experience as a field service technician
Water Treatment industry experience, a BIG plus
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service flow control equipment
Ability to adapt to changing work schedules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet up to 8 hours a day
Ability to travel up to 50%. Valid Driver’s License.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions
Must be able to physically perform essential duties of the position which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands to evaluate equipment.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
