Business Intelligence - Data Warehouse Manager

Reports to: Director of Business Intelligence

The chosen candidate will possess the hands on experience necessary to provide expert level guidance regarding data warehousing and ETL as they apply to business intelligence development.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day to day activities of the data warehouse and ETL teams
Determine and assign tasks as necessary to support consistent and constant delivery
Manage timelines and project delivery to ensure milestones and goals are continuously and consistently met
Oversee and participate in design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of data warehouse and ETL offerings
Oversee and participate in development and maintenance of data archive repository
Partner with business units to define and architect subject matter areas/data marts to support reporting and analytics
Oversee and participate in development of data delivery frameworks supporting the data warehouse environment (staging, auditing, logging, exception processing, etc.)
Partner with the Director of Business Intelligence and other Business Intelligence staff management to define overall departmental strategy
Evaluate new technologies and/or data sources to further enhance the value of the data warehouse as necessary
Advance improvement of quality, accessibility, and usability of all organizational and client data through injection of data governance principles and data quality processes.
Develop analytical and reporting endpoints for internal and external clients.
Actively support ongoing efforts to consolidate reporting and analytics
Provide training to end users on various offerings developed by the business intelligence team
Provide mentorship to less senior team members in all areas of data warehousing and ETL processes
Function as an integral part of the cross-functional implementation team, serving as the Business Intelligence Team representative as needed.
Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience
Requires a design and build background
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in providing data warehouse solutions following Kimball based methodologies.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in providing ETL solutions
Have a demonstrated understanding of data governance and master data management principles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required to communicate effectively and professionally.
Must be self-directed and able to function both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrate advanced critical thinking and trouble-shooting capabilities to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement tasks and solutions effectively, including the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Must be a team player with an ongoing desire to learn and share inside a cross-functional team environment.
Must be able to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, requiring occasional nights and weekends.

Additional valued skills, preferred but not required:
Microsoft PowerBI
Knowledge of CRM applications and/or the automotive industry is a plus.
Knowledge of Big Data concepts and/or hybrid data storage environment
