We are a well-established Ophthalmology practice that serves patients in Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean county. We have our own surgery center and optical shops in each office.
We are seeking an additional full-time Medical Billing Analyst who will be responsible for all aspects of the billing process including but not limited to managing accounts receivable aging reports, telephone coverage for incoming patient inquiries and follow up calls, plus the following.
- Checking eligibility and interpreting patient medical and/or vision benefits
- Posting payments and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner
- Analysis of denials to ensure timely claims adjudication
- Follow-up/collections on denied insurance claims and self-pay patient accounts
Experience and Skills:
2 years medical billing experience required. Specific experience with Ophthalmology/Optometry practices not required, but a plus.
Strong computer skills and EMR/EHR experience a must along.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
