The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

Looking for a System Network Administrator with 6+ years of hands-on IT experience specializing in system administration. The candidate must have an understanding of building and maintenance of Firewalls (Checkpoint, AWS SG’s) and Load Balancer (F5) rules.

Duties include:
AWS EC2, EBS, Checkpoint, SG, EIP, S3, networking
Document network changes
Responsible for monitoring the health of the Network
Ensures compliance with all information security policies and standards by working with security team to ensure software licenses, patches, firmware and security updates are applied

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Working knowledge of AWS – EC2, EBS, Networking, SG, AMI’s, Checkpoint firewalls and F5 Load Balancers
Hands on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience with TCP/IP, networking, and DNS, SMTP, and HTTPS
Hands on experience with VLANs and routing
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix security (Firewalls, ACLs, Authentication, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations
Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Knowledge of Application/Web servers based on Apache
Basic knowledge of Red Hat Directory Server
Familiar with CIS Benchmark standards
