Meet one-on-one with students to build and develop time management skills, reading and writing strategies, effective note-taking skills, test preparation and test-taking strategies, and general student self-advocacy skills.
Work with students as a supplement to what the student is learning in class in specific subject areas, helping the student to understand core concepts discussed in the course.
Provide academic support during study hall.
Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, Texas Tech University and Athletic Department rules, policies, and procedures.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, psychology or special education. At least 2 years teaching or tutoring experience. Additional education may substitute for experience.
Extensive background knowledge in at least one subject area.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Classroom management experience.
Able to proficiently use an iPad and Microsoft Office Suite.
5+ years teaching experience.
Experience working with students with learning disabilities, special education, and/or developmental education.

Minimum Hire Rate
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
Part time work - less than 20 hours/week. Hours/schedule vary each week depending on student schedule and need.
