Position: Child Care Quality and Compliance Director

Description: The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Child Care Quality and Compliance Director who is responsible for ensuring quality initiatives, as it pertains to all youth development programming. The Director will ensure that high quality goals are being obtained through outcome based measurements and additional direct tracking methods. This position is responsible for the training and development of youth development staff, ensuring quality program standard compliance for all youth development programs and partnering programs, as well as direction and implementation of all program delivery relating to curriculum, community engagement, and monitoring and reporting results against performance goals. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Youth Development.

Job Responsibilities:
Continually initiates, reviews, and evaluates key performances measures regarding service sites relating to strategic quality initiatives including, but not limited to, the achieving of high quality SUTQ star rating awards for all licensed child care programs. Involves the appropriate people, develops and executes corrective action plans.
Assists in the development of the annual business plan relating to quality initiatives for each area of youth development, curriculum and program goals, and assures that the child care staff have appropriate input and ownership in this process.
Through personal involvement and utilizing additional youth development and individual branch staff collaborates, integrates, and communicates high quality program objectives and goals of the association to community partners and participates actively in community organizations to promote program initiatives.
Initiates and maintains necessary relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other partners to ensure that all YMCA youth development services exceed industry standards for quality and excellence.
Coordinates, implements, leads, and tracks training for staff in areas of licensing and program quality requirements, curriculum, assessment and outcomes, classroom management, and other related topics. Assist in the identification of staff training needs and development activities.
Oversees the development, implementation and utilization of the Parent Advisory Board to ensure that program goals are met.
Creates and certifies implementation of all youth development curriculum, which ensures developmentally appropriate practices and addresses multiple aspects of childhood development and achievement (social, emotional, physical, cognitive and moral). Ensures Preschool curriculum concentrates on kindergarten readiness and activities are aligned with the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.
Assists in the development, tracking, and reporting of program outcomes relating to youth development operations.
Provides on-site consultation and technical assistance to staff and Area Child Care Directors relating to program standards compliance, staff development, and quality initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required. Masters preferred in majors of Early Childhood, Education, or Social Service field.
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in creating and implementing curriculum development and staff training programs with successful outcomes
Must have a minimum of 5 years successful experience as a supervisor and manager within the YMCA or equivalent experience outside the YMCA.
Experience with program evaluation and outcome based measurements practices.
Knowledgeable of state licensing procedures and Step Up To Quality requirements.
Must meet or exceed licensing requirements and maintain current certifications in First Aid, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse or obtain within given YMCA timeframe.
Must possess the insights and skills of modern management to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.
Ability to empower staff and to delegate appropriate responsibilities involved in program operations is essential.
Ability to think strategically is essential.
Possess positive personality, attitude, and conduct.
