Supply Chain Manager – Indirect

The National Instruments Indirect Procurement team has an immediate availability for Supply Chain Manager - Indirect, who is responsible for managing all activities associated with National Instruments’ indirect spend.

Core Responsibilities

Manage a cross-functional team of Supply Chain professionals in a variety of spend categories, while owning a commodity as an individual contributor
Review and negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to protect and drive company interests and benefits
Develop, align and implement commodity strategies/roadmaps that provide the optimal total value for National Instruments
Collaborate with business owners and takes input from management to develop departmental goals and takes ownership of driving the procurement component of those goals to completion
Create, nurture and grow and serve the internal customers in interdepartmental relationships to maximize influence and impact of the Procurement organization
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement
Apply procurement domain experience to unfamiliar areas of spend
Responsible for the Americas and collaborates with key members in Hungary and Malaysia manufacturing sites and global branches to develop global and regional opportunities
Manage spend categories such as Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), office suppliers, Human Resources, third party purchase, Work Place Services (WPS), IT hardware and software, capital equipment, marketing services, global travel and Outsource categories
Manage and foster positive relationships with National Instruments supply base and drive resolutions to conflicts including quality, cost, delivery or lead time issues.
Lead the collaboration between National Instruments and supplier’s management team to drive supply chain solutions
Direct activities around new supplier assessments, disengagements, performance improvement plans, formal supplier reviews, and cost reduction opportunities
Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Experience negotiating with suppliers, including contracts review and execution
Experience managing or coordinating projects
8 years' experience in Supply Chain management, procurement, and materials management
Experience in MS Office suite advanced, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Experience managing a team

Preferred Requirements:
BS/BSE degree in business, supply chain, Engineering or other related discipline.
Experience with ERP and related technical disciplines such as: Excel, PPT, Oracle, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI & etc.
Experience representing Supply Chain across multiple functional groups and with supplier teams
Experience with MRO management as well as categories such IT hardware and software, capital equipment, marketing services and global travel
A self-starter with attention to detail and high regard for quality
Business and negotiation savvy; able to foster positive relationships with suppliers
Strong Contract and agreement knowledge
Strong knowledge of supply chain management practices, procurement, materials management, business fundamentals/finance
