Pharmacy Business Specialist - Contract Pharmacies - Full-Time; 40 hours
SCHEDULE : 1st shift
JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy 340B Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality control of the business operations of the pharmacy department at Wake Forest Baptist. Under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Office, the specialist performs a variety of duties including the following.
Perform weekly and monthly quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with the 340B program and maximize financial opportunities.
To prepare and analyze audit reports for presentation to the 340B Steering and Operations Committees.
Work with inpatient, outpatient, and retail pharmacy leadership to identify and resolve compliance issues.
Manage and monitor the split-billing software for self-owned retail and contract pharmacies, and mixed-used areas
Obtain and maintain knowledge of 340B program and all interrelated subjects (such as medical billing).
Educate staff on 340B program and provide training for compliance tools.
Assist in other auditing and monitoring activities including but not limited to; controlled substance purchasing and distribution, and NDC management for general drug spend oversight.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business, Accounting or Finance and 1 year experience with pharmacy systems, analytics, accounting, logistics or operations; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment preferred.
Experience with 340(B) program, inventory control or purchasing preferred.
A qualified candidate will possess
Ability to learn all compliance, regulatory, quality assurance and control aspects of Pharmacy operations.
Experience leading project teams and co-workers, and ability to coach and mentor staff.
Proven analytical and process re-design skills, including problem solving, quantitative reasoning and workflow processing.
Advanced Excel skills and competency with Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills.
