Job Description:

Support the General Counsel of the Vegas Golden Knights and Foley Family Wines by providing paralegal and administrative support. This position requires the ability to work independently, think analytically, perform tasks efficiently and interact with multiple levels of company management. The candidate must have prior legal experience and strong administrative and word processing skills.


Report to the General Counsel and provide support and assistance with addressing the legal needs of various business departments within both the hockey team and wine company including sponsorship, compliance, sales, operations,and marketing;

Draft and/or process correspondence and standard contracts and other legal documents for counsel’s review (which include sponsorship agreements, independent contractor agreements, letter agreements, licensing agreements, waivers,contest rules and settlement agreements);

Conduct research projects on various issues and report findings to counsel;

Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches;Manage project timelines and due diligence checklists for acquisitions;

Coordinate management of litigation with outside counsel and maintain pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.;

Prepare, revise and finalize deal documents, closing statements and deal binders;

File registration statements for new entities and update records with secretary of state;·

Maintain electronic filing system for legal department;

Maintain corporate records and process annual corporate consents and resolutions;

Conduct initial analysis of requests for legal review that are submitted from various business departments and provide counsel with summary of request and maintain records of requests and responses;

Administrative responsibilities include word processing, expense reports, invoice processing, travel booking, record keeping and scheduling.

Other duties may be assigned as position evolves.


5 years of experience working in the legal industry (preferably for a law firm supporting multiple practice groups);

Ability to work independently and adopt new responsibilities as business evolves;

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and strong word-processing skills;

Strong proof-reading skills;

Experience with acquisitions/dispositions of real property and assets a plus;

Experience with both litigation and corporate work a plus;

Attention to detail is a must;

Ability to meet deadlines is a must;

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will consider candidates with paralegal certification and/or strong experience.
