Kerrville Bus Company is a growing, successful company that has been doing business for over 85 years, and we are looking for knowledgeable diesel mechanics to join our team. Our Company specializes in transportation using MCI Motorcoaches, and Van Hool double deck buses.
The successful applicant will maintain our fleet by inspecting, repairing, and replacing parts by performing work specified on maintenance repair orders. Will efficiently diagnose and repair bus systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air-conditioning on the units.
The ideal candidates must possess the following:
Class A Mechanics must have a minimum of 5 years mechanical repair experience on trucks, buses, or heavy equipment
Class B Mechanics must have a minimum of 3 years of mechanical repair Experience on trucks, buses, or heavy equipment
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
Must Pass a DOT Pre-employment physical and drug screening
Must Pass a Criminal History background check
Must have your own tools (Specialty & Larger items supplied by the company)
Mechanic must have a Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement within 120 days of hire
Experience in the transportation industry
Experience in the Motor Coach industry
Familiar with Cummins, Detroit, and CAT Engines
Familiar with ZF and Allison Transmissions
Possession of ASE and HV AC Certification
Some Computer Skills
Current Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement
