ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Director North America is responsible for the development and delivery of the marketing and communications strategy in North America, across all business lines.

A key focus of the marketing team’s output is in building brand awareness and driving lead generation, as the company seeks to cement its position in the North American market across every line of business. The Marketing Director is responsible for developing regional strategies that align with the global and regional growth goals, and for the effective implementation and analysis of all marketing and communications initiatives which support these goals.

The Marketing Director leads a regional marketing team which is supported by, and works in collaboration with the Global Marketing Team. It is a hands-on role, working in a fast-paced, dynamic and friendly environment where no two days are ever the same!

This role would suit an experienced marketing manager looking to take both a strategic and hands-on role which will shape the future of the Group of businesses in North America. Minimum 10 years of marketing experience required, with demonstrable expertise in digital marketing, communications and brand management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and Reporting

  • Development and implementation of the regional North American marketing plans and budgets, aligned to the Group’s global objectives, in collaboration with relevant business unit leaders and the Executive Management Team
  • Regular reporting on brand awareness and lead generation activity, including Google Analytics, AdWords, social media and HubSpot reporting
  • Ensure a current and robust knowledge of the industry and competitive marketplace
  • Monitor and analyze audience behavior through the collection of qualitative and quantitative audience data, including digital marketing analytics, customer surveys and employee feedback
  • Management and mentoring of all direct reports
  • Ongoing acquisition and implementation of best practice marketing skills, platforms and processes through continuous learning
  • Participate in strategic planning and development activities as required

Digital Marketing

  • Management of digital marketing platforms, including websites, social media, email and advertising channels to ensure maximum engagement
  • Management of digital marketing automation software, HubSpot
  • Development of strategic digital marketing campaigns, including new product launches, in collaboration with the marketing team

Communications

  • Development and delivery of regional content strategies, supported by the regional and global communications team
  • Develop and delivery internal and external corporate communications in collaboration with regional communications team
  • Present the Group’s North American marketing strategy at internal and external events as required
  • Manage supplier relationships, including media / PR agency and digital agencies

Brand

  • Responsible for the effect delivery of all branded assets (internal and external) to increase brand awareness and maximum brand credibility
  • Ensure absolute professionalism and consistency in brand application across all areas of the business, internally and externally
  • Develop and implement new and improved processes and platforms to support maximum brand consistency and professionalism
  • In collaboration with the Global Marketing Team, implement new brand strategies as required
  • Conduct brand and social media training with employees in North America Events
  • Manage branding and communication requirements of all internal and external events Other
  • Management of the Group’s award submissions
  • Participation in meetings and events as required - some regional and international travel may be required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-graduate degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ marketing experience – with demonstrable expertise in digital marketing, communications and brand management
  • Highly experienced working with digital marketing platforms including WordPress CMS, HubSpot automation software (preferable), social media management tools, Google Analytics, Google AdWords
  • Strong understanding of brand principles, sales pipelines and audience segmentation
  • 100% adherence to brand guidelines
  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Excellent communication skills – the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Must thrive in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Travel industry experience preferable
