Reporting to the HRBL, the Human Resources Business Consultant (HRBC) will support HRBL with strategic HR consulting in the areas of organizational effectiveness and design, employee engagement/employee experience, workforce planning/talent acquisition, change management, performance and talent management. Key responsibilities include establishing and sustaining strategic consultative relationships as a trusted advisor with departmental/functional teams, preparing HR data analytics, brokering HR COE services, implementing HR solutions, and provide HR generalist support to meet the challenges and needs of the business areas they are designated to support. The HRBC will also be responsible to support broader HR people organization initiatives to drive overall business performance.

Supports the business function in achieving business goals through consultative expertise on core human resource capabilities.
Partners with business leaders as directed by HRBL to transition workforce to an accountable, high-performance driven culture
Works across HR and with relevant stakeholders to accelerate Delta Dental’s ability to attract, develop and retain talent necessary to support transformation and growth
Leverages and manages data, measurements, and tactics to support key people programs and decisions
Collaborates with HR and functional partners to develop and leverage data to inform/influence business leaders and/or decisions.
Prepares workforce and business performance reviews applying analytics to identify areas of potential risk in areas of employee engagement, turnover/attrition and retention, staffing metrics, employee productivity and performance, diversity & inclusion, service level agreements and internal/external customer satisfaction scores
Contributes to and implements established talent management, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and HR people systems, tools, and processes
Provides leadership coaching and feedback to drive team effectiveness and business results
Partners with HRBL to determine overall workforce planning needs for the function including identifying job specifications, competencies, sourcing and retention strategies
Partners with HRBL to broker learning and development, organizational effectiveness and design, and talent management capabilities
Facilitates core processes for the designated business area including performance review processes, employee engagement action planning, and talent review / succession planning
Works with leaders to ensure development plans exist for key talent/benchmarking
Provides leadership and management coaching; assesses appropriate development solutions/intervention strategies for talent needs within designated business area; including individual, team and bench development
Partners with employee relations and legal as appropriate to develop action plans in conjunction with business leaders
Manages implementation of organizational design needs within designed business area, in accordance to strategic divisional guidance
Acts as a leader for the broader HR team and contributes to the overall people strategy
What we look for:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience
An HR certification is desirable, or equivalent meaningful work experience in operations and/or a sophisticatedHR environment
5 years as a Manager level human resources leader, Business Partner or HR Consultant to Manager, Director or VP level clients
Experience in multi-site environments with populations of 400+ employees; able to work across multiple teams, and with people on a variety of organizational levels in often ambiguous circumstances
Demonstrated success partnering with clients to solve important business problems.
Experience working across time zones, constituent groups, and locations.
Demonstrated success in growth, transformative, and large-scale changeenvironments
Experience in high-performance HR practices
Strong observation and influencing capabilities with activist skills
Comfortable deliveringanopposingpointofviewto initiate discussion
Broad HR experience; supporting field organizations preferable
History of successful partnership and leadership within a matrixed HR delivery system
Highly relationship oriented. Knows how to accomplish work with and through others at all levels. Regularly interfaces with senior leaders
Experience working in a shared services/COE environment
