Responsible for the P&L of the Truck Bases. Fulfill the hauling needs of the company at the pre-established rates to either breakeven or be profitable to lower the hauling cost to our projects on a continuing basis
Responsible for maintaining a “right-sized” fleet of trucks to support the business
Optimize truck usage across the company based on owned, leased vs subcontracted hauling
Work closely with the OMs on a regular basis to maintain reliable hauling needs projections
Manage the fleet to optimize the cost and availability. A good balance between the capital cost vs maintenance for optimization and truck availability
Responsible for recommendation for purchasing, leasing, rental and disposal decisions for trucks along with the Manager of Shops/Yards
Maintain various KPIs for the Truck Base performance to continuously evaluate, monitor and take corrective actions for maximizing ROI
Previous experience in truck handling in construction
