Located in New York and reporting to the Manager, HBO Editorial Strategy & Social Media, this position will be responsible for writing, editing, publishing, and pitching content for HBO brand social channels.
Ideate and execute always-on, organic social campaigns for HBO brand, programming, and company-wide initiatives.
Write high-engagement and error-free social media copy that reflects the HBO brand voice.
Update daily social media content calendar across all platforms ensuring brand consistency and accuracy.
Work with Content Marketing and internal stakeholders to identify and support priority initiatives and programs on HBO’s brand social profiles.
Schedule and publish to brand social profiles.
Community management of brand social profiles.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
1-2 years’ experience maintaining social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, for a media or entertainment brand.
Knowledge of social media best practices and analytics tools.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Interest in, and knowledge of, HBO programming is important to the role.
Possible overtime or weekend work may be required.
