Ensure HACCP plans and process flows are up to date for East Cannery, West Cannery, Dry Plant, Meat Plant, and Beehive. Included in this are new equipment installations, new ingredients, new HACCP team members, etc.
Ensure calibrations and verifications are up to date on all equipment including: scales, metal detectors, thermometers, RTDs, NIR, CEM, and Perten Mills.
Be primary contact for the factory/plant HACCP development, implementation and adaptation.
Ensure a process for management of all records, required by regulatory organizations and laws, pertaining to HACCP and/or Thermal Processing at the factory.
Function as a resource in the development, coordination, and administration of HACCP related activities as dictated by the HACCP Plan.
Ensure process for internal verification programs, including the corrective action process as a means to ensure compliance to the HACCP program.
Develop and present employee-training topics relative to HACCP and HACCP pre-requisite programs.
Work with the engineering and maintenance departments on Sanitary Design of equipment and modifications prior and during installation as it pertains to HACCP change control.
Coordinate and maintain the food defense plan.
Conduct food defense vulnerability assessments at each location.
Promote quality awareness and serve as an ambassador and as an example of HACCP compliance throughout the facility and with customers/vendors/contractors.
Active member of the factory Food Safety Team and complete work as assigned by the Food Safety Team.
Maintain up to date working knowledge and skill levels in all areas of Food Safety and be capable of informing and directing others with all pertinent changes that affect them.
