Job Title: Caregiver (several openings); PT/Hourly Position/$12.00-15.00hr.
Schedule: This is an on-call, pool position based on the needs of our clients. Typical shifts range from 2-12 hours during the day, in the evenings, overnight or on the weekends. Hours are not guaranteed on a weekly basis. Great position for an individual looking for flexibility while making an impact in the community.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
100%- Provide for and prioritize the safety of every child. Ensure a safe enviornment and encourage good health and safety practices. Know and maintain child/staff ratio at all times. Intervene when a child is at risk.
5%- Establish and maintain positive relationships with all children and with everyone involved in the program; parents, staff, licensing and community representatives. Understand the values and policies of the program and organization and be able to explain them to these individuals. Provide guidance and support to new hires.
50%- Provide direct child care for children. Model appropriate direct child care through professional behavior and attitudes.
Implement structure and age appropriate activities per shift
Ensure all children are redirected in a respectful, age appropriate manner
Conduct quality transitions resulting in proper group management
Prepare and serve snacks
20%- Implement activities which will meet program standards and promote the goals of the program. Implement schedules/routines for each shift. Ensure a variety of enrichment activities for the age group and population being served. Assist in site set-up and prepare activities prior to child(rens) arrival. Ensure the child care rea is cleaned and in proper order before end of shift.
20%- Prepare and submit all required documents in a professionally written and timely manner to Site Manger to include:
incident & illness reports
timesheets & attendance tracking forms
hotline communication messages
5% - Attend all Site Staff meetings and any others requested by upper management. Review and comply with SOP?s and training requirements Essential Job Qualifications:
AGE: 18 years of age or above Child Care shifts and 21 years of age or above for all Hospital Sitting Activities; EDUCATION: High School or GED
EXPERIENCE: 1 year child care experience preferred
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion. Must be able to report at the site on time daily and call in within 4 hours of scheduled shift if unable to report to work for any reason.
VEHICLE: Must have reliable transportation due to the nature of the job.
OTHER: Childcare Specialist must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT HEAD.
