SUMMARY: A maintenance technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks in but not limited to: Carpentry, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing and Grounds.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inspects buildings and other structures to determine malfunctions and accomplish repairs.
Communicates and cooperates well with others demonstrating positive teamwork.
Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures, wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses and minor appliances using the appropriate PPE, hand, power and specialty tools.
Performs minor plumbing maintenance: replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices using appropriate PPE.
Performs painting and masonry work preparing surfaces using a brush, sprayer or roller to apply paints, stains, wall coverings.
Performs carpentry work including fabricating and repairing of various materials including wood, metal, drywall and plastic using hand and power tools.
Reconfigures furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, and other equipment to accommodate the requirements of the company using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies, hand trucks and company vehicles.
Cleans equipment, work areas, walk ways, parking lots and other areas as assigned of debris, snow and ice.
Orders parts and maintains required documents.
Follows GuestPath Universal Service Standards, Operational Service Standards, and SERVE expectations at all times.
Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Completion of High School education.
Minimum two years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Associate must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, dust or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, secondhand smoke and outside weather conditions.
