You will join our growing data science team, leveraging the latest technology in natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to provide the most holistic view of the cannabis industry and its consumers.

Your role. The selected applicant will support the development of novel machine learning algorithms (supervised regression/classification, unsupervised learning, NLP, and forecasting)to inform consumer and market predictions. He/she will help construct social listening tools, online data crawlers, predictive models, and user-friendly dashboards to translate data into palpable insights for our clients. Alongside senior research staff at Brightfield, he/she will help build the growing foundation of the technical team. They will be integral in creating innovative client solutions and efficient ways to leverage our capabilities.

  • Experience with a programming language (e.g. Python, C++, Java, Stata, SAS, or R)
  • Bachelor or technical degree
  • Understanding of statistical analysis like regression models


  • 2 + years working in a professional environment
  • Experience identifying technical solutions for business problems
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Familiar with database environments and queries (SQL, Access)
  • Some experience using Python, SQL, Power BI and/or Git
