Number of Positions:
Interns will work with the Outreach and Education Director and division staff that oversee outreach programs such as workshops and expos, communication, and media, and distributing public information via brochures and other marketing materials. The interns will work with other senior level managers and staff as needed. Interns will translate and draft Departmental documents on City programs and initiatives as well as support outreach efforts.

fliers and correspondence for public information
- Work independently on long-term and short-term projects
- Translate and distill written information
- Discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work in a quick paced environment while multi-tasking
- Interest in current events, public policy, and public service
- Translate documents as needed

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION
Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/information technology school. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale.
Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the duration of their employment/internship.
Student must be enrolled in school with a minimum of 6 credit hours (or quarter hour equivalency) throughout the duration of internship, with the exception of academic breaks, i.e. summer

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
Proficiency in writing and translating in at least one of the following languages: Spanish, Polish, Mandarin
Proficiency translating and distilling written information
Junior or Senior
Minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 scale
Minimum GPA 4.0 out of 5.0 scale
Minimum 20 hours per week
Maximum 35 hours per week
Previous experience in event planning and marketing campaigns
Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe products
