Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
The Wholesale Strategic Analytics team is part of Wholesale Insights & Reporting in the Wholesale Chief Operating Office. This team provides reporting and analytic support across Wholesale LOBs, and we have two Analytic Consultant 4 openings on the team. The successful candidates will support one of two functions in the Wholesale Strategic Analytics group.
One analyst will be dedicated to supporting the Wholesale Customer and Team Member Excellence group within the Wholesale COO. This work includes strategies such as Customer Complaints, Customer Experience, Voice of the Customer, and Voice of the Team Member. They will work with the Wholesale Customer and Team Member Excellence team and LOBs to identify analytical needs, define business requirements, identify potential data sources, design reports and analyses, and translate business needs into actionable insights.
One analyst will be dedicated to Conduct Risk analytics support Wholesale and Enterprise initiatives for improved and consistent risk management for Conduct Risks (Allegations, Ethics, Sales Practices, etc). This team partners closely with Wholesale Conduct Risk and this position will be a senior analytic consultant responsible for analytics in support of the Wholesale Conduct Risk strategy. This role will be crucial in helping devise and execute measurement of KRI (Key Risk Indicator) and KPI metrics around this program. This role will also be responsible for analytical statistical modeling to help establish additional/adapt existing metrics and KPIs/KRIs in an ever-changing environment.
The successful candidates will facilitate the development of analyses and presentations for executive level audiences. They will be an expert in distilling vast information into succinct actionable insights, presenting that information with the story in mind, in a polished format that is relevant to senior leadership. This person will need to be comfortable leveraging data from multiple sources, internal and external. Experience with text analytics is a plus. They need to execute analyses with loosely defined business requirements, and anticipate business needs that may not be explicitly articulated. They will be responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive, consistent, and accurate analytics. Further, they will support our critical efforts to strengthen our insights-driven culture as an integral element of our business model and practices.
These analysts will foster partnerships across Wholesale and across the Enterprise to continue to drive WF consistency in analytic and reporting structures, and explore new innovative thinking/ideas to be leveraged by the team. The successful candidate will effectively use of interpersonal and communications skills with tact and diplomacy, and effectively collaborate on projects. They will have an analytic curiosity, an ability to cultivate analytic talent and curiosity in others, a strong desire to dig deeper, and the ability to solve complex problems quickly and creatively.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
4+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
2+ years of Tableau experience
1+ year of wholesale banking experience
Ability to form a story through data analysis
Ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both visually and verbally
Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
