Providence is calling a Medical Support Staff Coordinator ( Anticoagulation OP Clinic , Day Shift, 0.6) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Accepts and supports the mission and values of Holy Family Hospital.
Supports the Performance Improvement process.
Follows policies related to work attendance and dress code.
Maintains a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Considers individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients and staff, including ethical, cultural, psychosocial, religious, and age-specific aspects, to include all ages.
Supports patient rights and the organization’s code of ethical behavior.
Follow the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments & Compliance Integrity Program Employee Handbook and any other organizational or departmental materials related to compliance with laws and regulatory requirements.
Performs the following patient care activities/treatments according to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
Performs assessment of patients according to policies and procedures to maximize potential for successful specimen collection.
Performs restocking of supplies, maintains cleanliness of work areas.
Attends all mandatory education programs. Attends or reads minutes of all applicable meetings. Reads all required reading postings.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suit and possess accurate keyboarding skills, typing 45 wpm
Experience with Medical Terminology
General knowledge of coding using CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Formal education in phlebotomy or college courses in anatomy, physiology, and other clinical sciences
Pharmacy Assistant license in Washington State
Experience as a Medical Assistant (MA), Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or similar role in a health care facility
