POSITION SUMMARY
The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the Company’s bookkeeping along with general office administrative duties. Primary responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposits, reconciliations, invoicing, general ledger entries, payroll and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements
  • Applying strong accounting skills in financial statement preparation
  • Processing payroll, including IRS reporting
  • Participating in activities needed to support the management functions of the Company
  • Performing other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting certificate or Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Two or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Use of common bookkeeping and accounting software (QuickBooks or related programs)
  • Previous experience processing payroll, including IRS and EDD reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
  • Attention to detail with exceptional level of accuracy
  • Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing directly with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively and enthusiastically with coworkers

NOTE
The bookkeeper will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties. All duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements
