ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The learning & development director will take our leadership and employee development initiatives to the next level and beyond. The incumbent will design, deliver and measure the employee experience that allows people and teams to thrive throughout their lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, performance cycles, leaves of absence and off-boarding). The incumbent will also collaborate with key stakeholders to help our employees advance their skills and knowledge.
Essential to this Position
Create and execute learning strategies and programs which will up-level the collective and individual capabilities of the enterprise.
Build, iterate, and scale programs that help employees effectively tackle the evolving needs of their roles and continue growing their careers.
Employ a strategic mix of different learning and development solutions to drive the behavior changes and improved results to enable teams to win.
Select and manage the implementation of Organizational Effectiveness (OE) methodologies and tools that best support the OE strategy and are in alignment with Menasha Corporation’s culture.
Make organization effectiveness decisions with global impact that are culturally relevant and meet the needs of a global team member population and reinforce an inclusive culture.
Owns and leads the Menasha Corporation’s performance management philosophy to create a high-performance culture in partnership with Total Rewards.
Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
Stay current with HR trends, employment law and diversity and inclusion landscapes
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree Education Desired
Field Of Study
Concentration in Organizational Behavior, Psychology or related field preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
Minimum of 7 years of experience required Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources (HR) function or department; ability to use and administer the organization's HR policies, strategies and environment
Knowledge of and ability to use the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies relevant to human resources management
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting HR practices
Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives
Knowledge of and ability to plan and develop an organization's HR operations in order to increase individual and organizational effectiveness
Knowledge of and ability to implement HR related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure smooth daily HR operations
Experience creating and developing curriculum and administering a Learning Management System
Demonstrated people management.
Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage and work with all levels of an organization
Demonstrated track record of collaboration and global mindset and experience
Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
Ability to listen well, comprehend and analyze situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum of 7 years of experience leading initiatives to drive learning and development, with a proven track record of improving specific individual and group results.
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing curriculum and facilitating interactive, skills-focused trainings.
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing learning solutions that are not just in the format of instructor-led “classroom” trainings – for example peer-to-peer learning, on-the-job learning, digital learning, etc.
Minimum of 3 years of experience evaluating and measuring the impact of learning and development efforts.
Strong experience implementing career development programs or frameworks.
Strong experience with 1:1 coaching and group facilitation.
Strong experience with user research, consulting, and advising leaders on solutions.
Track record of establishing trust with and influencing diverse groups of individuals to drive lasting changes across the enterprise.
Ability to travel 30% of the time.
