Executive Assistant to the Vice President – with German language fluency

STIHL Inc. has an immediate opening for an Executive Assistant! As part of our Finance department, you will play a vital role in the support of STIHL Incorporated and will act as a liaison to the Vice President of Finance; maintain appointment agendas and keep the Vice President informed of commitments.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting executive level leadership, be fluent in German, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have expert level Microsoft PowerPoint acumen and possess fundamental knowledge of accounting and financial statements.

Position Responsibilities:
Compiles, prepares, and conducts preliminary analysis of financial reporting using MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
Composes confidential correspondence of a general business nature; receives, screens, and relays telephone and email communications. Opens, scans, and sorts executive office mail for importance, urgency and distribution.
Arranges travel itinerary for executive and respective managers and when necessary makes contact with traveler on important or urgent matters. Prepares conference agenda and materials for travel to include reports, files, records, etc.
Performs regular written and verbal translations between German and English communications.
Attend business functions during and after normal business hours, as required.
Provides administrative support and analysis as needed for key managers; report analysis, presentations, etc.

Expert proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
A minimum of two years of college is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Basic knowledge of accounting and financial statements
3+ years of related experience required; 5+ years preferred.
Bilingual German/English fluency required.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
