Job Summary

Activist Legal seeks North Carolina co-counsel. Activist primarily represents creditors in foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction and similar matters. Our firm's philosophy is to achieve consensual solutions and avoid litigation whenever possible. We strive for early resolutions, whether modifications, short sales, deeds-in-lieu, or lump-sum settlements.

We seek a Foreclosure Attorney for North Carolina matters. This is a contract, co-counsel arrangement and selected candidate may work remotely, including from home.

Responsibilities and Duties

This position will be responsible for the management and litigation of a volume case load of default servicing matters, both routine and contested foreclosure matters. Legal and related foreclosure services to include but may not be limited to:

  • Advertising requirements (legal notices) for the foreclosure sale;
  • Drafting pleadings and motions
  • Court Appearances
  • Court Ordered mediation;
  • Title search services;
  • Bankruptcy Services;
  • Eviction Services;
  • Coordinating foreclosure sales and recording of foreclosure deed and/or collecting associated sales proceeds and;
  • Acting on behalf of the client in bankruptcy proceedings.
