Production positions at the Reno plant include material handlers, filling operators and paint processors. These roles work in an industrial setting manufacturing Latex paint products. The plant processes paint by following strict environmental, health and safety standards by blending raw materials in a batch process, operating highly automated filling equipment to package finished goods, and performing multiple material transfer operations in an SAP production management environment.
Follows all safety procedures and works to continuously improve safety in the plant and work areas.
Receives and manages raw materials for product processing and packaging. Conducts inventory checks and communicates information critical to packaging inventory management.
Performs material movements using an SAP production management and warehouse management system.
Executes production, raw material and finished goods instructions with a high attention to detail.
Operates manufacturing process control equipment associated with raw material charging operations, fill line packaging and filling equipment, and information system databases.
Performs routine quality inspections to ensure all manufacturing steps are performed in acceptable manner.
Operates industrial equipment including industrial powered equipment and packaging fill line equipment associated with the palletizing of finished goods products.
Operates industrial powered equipment including reach trucks, sit down lift trucks and pallet moving equipment.
Records and collects data utilizing computers, radios and RF equipment.
Complete regular inspection of equipment, maintain clean and neat work area and assist others as needed.
Maintains housekeeping standards and performs cleaning as assigned including daily trash and cardboard duties.
Other tasks as assigned.
High School diploma or GED equivalent Preferred.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
Ability to physically move finished goods, raw materials and packaging related dunnage as needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership over area of responsibility.
Must complete required safety training.
Must have interpersonal skills to work in a positive manner in a team atmosphere.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around forklift, pallet jack, and racking equipment.
Ability to lift cases or pails of product and maneuver them as needed on production lines.
Ability to use computers and warehouse management systems (SAP preferred) to manage, complete and resolve errors as needed.
Must wear protective gear including but not limited to: gloves, safety glasses, and other PPE including respirators as required.
