The Documentation Process Engineer will drive continuous improvement by optimizing new and existing manufacturing processes through the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, document management and control, and providing project management support to the production department.

The Documentation Process Engineer will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Summary of Essential Job Functions

- Promotes and supports operational consistency through the creation, maintenance, use and adherence of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Assist with document writing, updating and/or creating new SOPs, work instructions, training materials, job aids, etc., that will have a lasting impact on the company’s future success and growth.
- Incorporates logic, clarity, detail, common and consistent language in all descriptions and explanations. Include diagrams and other visual supplemental solutions to provide understanding to the reader as appropriate.
- Develops a consistent and rigorous review process to address and mitigate inconsistencies, ambiguities or imprecise descriptions, and correct errors.
- Utilizes existing document templates to standardize policies, SOPs, Work Instructions and other document formats. Ensure document content includes compliance requirements, best practices, and procedural instructions for a wide variety of production operations activities.
- Maintain periodic review timeframes (TBD) in the document management system (DMS), notify process owners of upcoming periodic review due dates, and coordinate closure of periodic reviews.
- Acquires a working knowledge of all production processes.
- Participates in the Management of Change (MOC) process and ensure that affected procedures are updated as needed.
· Acts as the conduit for translating capital projects into operational procedures.
- Maintains a high level of service and work performance, and also support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment that fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
- Ensures all local, state, and federal regulations are being met at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of all records and company matters.
- Completes any and all tasks assigned by the Production Manager along with other duties not listed herein, but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and productive day-to-day operations within the plant.
- Demonstrates support of the E Energy Adams’ engagement process and live the Company’s core values and guiding principles. Promote E Energy Adams in the community.
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor of Science degree or higher (from an accredited school) in the Engineering field.
- Experience in a large scale industrial continuous process manufacturing environment.
- Ethanol manufacturing experience preferred.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Technical writing experience
- Experience with writing, development, or maintenance of SOPs and work instructions preferred.

- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people and communicate information to obtain positive results.

- Attention to safety and environmental compliance is critical.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to work around and on industrial equipment.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders up to 200 feet.
- Ability to work while sitting or standing on a continuous basis.
- Ability to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be willing to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
- Ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color on a computer monitor.
- Ability to communicate by using and hearing a 2-way radio system.
