Job Overview
** This is a hybrid remote/onsite position, and the candidate must be based in Los Angeles or the surrounding area. **
We’re seeking an early career enthusiastic and hardworking junior network systems engineer to join our High-Tech team at Generation IX Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and configuring the network infrastructure and onboarding clients to ensure the smooth running of systems. You will also troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to our customers. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong technical background in networking concepts, including experience working with switches, firewalls, VLAN’s DHCP, DNS, and Microsoft Azure networks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
- Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize network performance
- Install and configure network equipment and software
- Monitor network security and implement best practices
- Document network configurations and procedures
Experience
Required:
· Technical Knowledge of Switches, wireless LAN controllers, and Access Points.
· Ability To Troubleshoot Lan and Wan Networks.
· Understanding Of Routing Protocols.
· Create VPN tunnels.
· Knowledge of Network Security.
· Familiarity With Firewall Technologies.
· Design/Create Azure Networks (VNET)
· Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition of IT services.
· Assess and document the client’s existing IT environment, including hardware, software, networks, and security protocols.
Preferred:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
- Previous experience in a networking role

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

- Computer networking: 2 years (Preferred)
- LAN: 2 years (Preferred)
