The Quality Assurance Analyst I implements Information Technology (IT) quality assurance practices and procedures. This position involves manual testing of software changes to our applications and ensuring application functionality matches the documented requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (KEY ACTIVITIES)
Analyzes easy to medium complex requirements, solution comments, design specifications, and other documentation and creates test cases to exercise product functionality
Executes manual and/or automated functional testing based on analysis and understanding of the requirements and deployment environment
Follow and update test matrixes and provide accurate and complete result documentation. Review final results with Programmers, Lead QA Analyst or QA Manager as appropriate.
Verifies test results through analysis of user interfaces, databases, printed output, and data transmissions
Builds and manages code deployments in multiple environments as required
Creates and maintains automation scripts as required for the targeted applications.
Documents and communicates issues found during the course of testing and works with business analysts, application development and/or database administrators as necessary to resolve the issues
Assist in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team.
Follows the processes slated within the quality assurance department in accordance to all regulations (i.e. SOX, FDA/Quality, general controls)
This position will also be required to work nights and weekends as needed to support releases for production validation

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Software Development or Computer Sciences
1 to 2 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 1 year of strong hands-on QA experience or demonstrated knowledge with web applications and backend preferably developed using SQL Server, Windows Server, Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET , HTML, C##
At least 1 year of experience or demonstrated knowledge in database testing with the ability to read, write, and execute SQL queries
Knowledge with web services, web sites, database, network connectivity and authentication, SQL Server, configuration, and debugging
Knowledge of managing software builds and code deployments in multiple environments and knowledge in creating release templates from scratch and modifying as required
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Work, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience/Knowledge with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and function well under pressure
Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all departments within the Information Technology department, as well as the business partners
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as organization and document skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Strong problem solving skills
