Downtown Chicago Group Private Practiceoffers apostdoctoral fellowship in clinicalpsychology.This is a supervised, 12/24 month position that has the potential to become a long termpositionat the practice. Starting date is negotiable depending on the circumstances. Competitive salary is offered which will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Evening hours and Saturdays may be required. The postdoctoral fellow will provide psychotherapy and diagnostic services, including individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy and psychological testing, working with adults and children. The postdoctoral fellow can expect to serve a diverse clientele, including diversity in the areas of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomic status and age.
The practice is known for providing evidence based treatment and for treatment of anxiety disorders. As such, the postdoctoral fellow will receive specifictraining onusing evidence based practices to treatanxiety related disorders including OCD, GAD, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Trichotillomania, PTSD, Phobias, Separation Anxiety, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. The postdoctoral fellowwill also have the opportunity to receive training in play therapy and techniques of Theraplay®by a registered play therapistin addition to Love and Logic Parenting. Additionally, training in psychological testing and assessment and early childhood/attachment will also be available.
The postdoctoral fellow will receive weekly individual supervision by an experienced licensed clinical psychologist. As a valued member of the practice team, the postdoctoral fellow will also participate inmonthly practice meetings thatoffer additional training ontopics of interest, or case consultationsin addition to research opportunities.

Applicants must have completed all requirements for their doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychologyfrom a regionally accredited university andan APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship. Applicants must beeligible to sit for licensurein the state of Illinoisby the end of postdoctoral training.
A successful candidate must demonstrate strong interest in and experience with diverse clients, ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, and have some experiencewith cognitive behavioral therapy. He or she must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills.
