What Internal Communications Development contributes to Cardinal Health
Internal Communications is responsible for communicating the company’s mission, vision, values and business strategy to various internal audiences in order to accelerate company performance and drive employee engagement. This role has responsibility for maintaining the Cardinal Heatlh HR intranet (myHR) for communication of HR content to all employees globally.
Creates and disseminates corporate messaging. Maps corporate messaging to key initiatives and business unit.
Identifies, creates and utilizes an optimized mix of communication channels.
Demonstrates knowledge of internal communication media, trends and best practices.
Applies appropriate strategies and tactics to provide communication planning and counsel to key business partners and leaders.
Writes, reviews, edits and produces clear, concise communications for key audiences, drawing upon business and communication expertise as well as knowledge of employee demographics and preferences.
Generates forums and opportunities for employees to share knowledge and expertise, and provide feedback across the enterprise.
Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills.
Maintain and develop intranet pages and document libraries.
Maintain and develop knowledge base solutions, primarily within the SharePoint intranet platform.
Ensure pages and documents are updated as needed by working with COE subject matter experts.
Consult with SME’s to develop new processes documentation according to business need.
Work with the SharePoint team and corporate communications on structured intranet architecture from an information, development and maintenance perspective.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the HR intranet.
Evaluate/edit/approve content to ensure consistency in structure and branding.
Liaison between HRIT, HRIS, Corporate Communications, HR COE leads and SharePoint team on intranet content development.
Involvement in intranet projects that may arise in the future.
Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Ability to interact with various levels of the organization
Candidate must be comfortable training in front of a group, whether in person or virtually
2+ years of experience in related field, preferred
Experience with intranet (SharePoint) publishing
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative tools
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Samples of work including portfolios, links or samples will be requested
