The Mother Goose team has an immediate need for an exceptional Administrative Assistant who learns fast and is enthusiastic about organization, communication, working with children and comfortable with computers. Our School specializes in helping children ages, 2 to 6 years old develop their social, physical, and academic skills in a safe structured child-centered environment. We need someone who can help bring our vision to life.

This person will also perform minor first-aid and record appropriate documentation in the event of minor onsite injuries.Our ideal candidate understands how to engage families and build positive relationships in our community. They also have strong writing skills to support us in writing blog posts, newsletters,and updating the School website.

What will you be doing?

Our administrative assistant is ready for hands-on projects at every stage of the lifecycle -- from scheduling tours and registrations for new families, to managing and maintaining enrollment lists, following up with families, all while ensuring monthly deadlines are met. This person will have a close interaction with our children while teaching them how to express their needs clearly.bWe want you to organize our office, but not by yourself. You will work closely with the rest of the administrative team and help shape our overall admissions process. Mother Goose is a collaborative work environment, so staff need to work with many team members -- all while maintaining high standards of professionalism and detailed documentation.

Location

This position is onsite in the Richmond District of San Francisco. We are located at 334 28th Ave and we are between California and Clement Street.

Qualifications:

  • The person selected for this position must be at least 18 years of age. She or he must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and stability for the program’s continuity.This person must also be a sensitive and mature individual who demonstrates a basic respect for both children and adults.
  • ECE units and experience in a child care environment preferred, but not required.
  • Adequate computer skills, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Publisher programs, word processing skills, and general knowledge of websites.
  • Handle and prioritize several duties at one time with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and experience interfacing directly with staff members,children, and parents. Self-motivated work style with strong adherence to deadlines
  • The ability to work as part of a team with other staff

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule tours, registrations, visits, and other appointments.
  • Explain enrollment procedures and the school's program and goals to parents of prospective students
  • Manage and maintain incoming list of students
  • Review/contact incoming list monthly
  • Preparations for new children:
  • complete file forms
  • visitation appointments
  • add to appropriate classroom roll
  • notify Teachers and Bookkeeper
  • Keep daily logs of student illnesses/injuries, and all accounting changes.
  • Responsible for day to day information relay to/from parents.
  • Record and maintain all roll changes updated and then inform teacher and bookkeeper.
  • Prepare and distribute roll, allergy lists, menu, sign in sheets, class lists and other School documents.
