We are currently seeking an experienced self-starter goal-oriented successful sales professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager in our Knoxville region. As a Business Development Manager your objective is to clearly express ideas in a manner that will build rapport with our current and new customers. You will help build new customer relationships and assist in managing key customer “partnerships” for long term business growth and success.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced self-starter goal-oriented successful sales professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager in our Knoxville region. As a Business Development Manager your objective is to clearly express ideas in a manner that will build rapport with our current and new customers. You will help build new customer relationships and assist in managing key customer “partnerships” for long term business growth and success.

Responsibilities are as follows:
Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contracts
Strategically prospect network and research future construction project opportunities
Working collaboratively with the business development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the Knoxville region
Participating in industry and community organizations
Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies
Making decisions based on Messer's long-term growth philosophy and core values

Minimum Requirements:
Business and community relationships in the Knoxville area
5-10 years of business development/sales experience
Bachelor's degree in business construction or related field
Proven track record developing business and long-term client relations
Knowledge/experience in a construction-related industry is preferred
Knowledge of the Health Care Higher Education Science & Technology Industrial and Aviation markets
Experience with new market entry strategies is a plus
Formal sales training and experience with client management (CRM) software is a plus

Abilities:
Possess all auditory speaking and communicating capabilities
Physical requirements: sitting standing walking bending twisting climbing pushing pulling lifting up to 25lbs. seeing and reading driving
