In this role you will be working directly with the COO/Director of Ecommerce on all aspects of our ecommerce business, which includes websites like Amazon.com (both Vendor and Seller Central), Overstock.com, Wayfair.com, and Chewy.com, among others. This position is designed to evolve into a full managerial role within 12 months, as long as performance is demonstrated.

The Director of Ecommerce guides the overall strategy for the ecommerce business, and you will be directly responsible for all the day-to-day activities related to managing our ecommerce businesses, which ranges from new product uploads and handling customer services inquiries to forecasting inventory and assisting with the marketing planning and strategy. Within 3-6 months, you are expected have an assistant that handles most of the administrative duties so that you can focus on managerial duties.

We are seeking a highly-motivated, self-driven, multi-faceted individual who possesses both strong technical and communication skills. Our multi-million dollar ecommerce business is relatively young and growing rapidly, so it is very much a startup culture here. In 2017, our ecommerce business grew over 300%.

You will be responsible for managing many moving pieces so you must be able to handle working well in high pressure situations and effectively managing competing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage all day-to-day activities of our ecommerce business
  • Compile and calculate sales and inventory forecasts to determine our purchasing needs
  • Monitor product listings on a daily basis to ensure they are continually optimized
  • Coordinate with buyers to initiate marketing promotions
  • Handle requests from Director of Ecommerce
  • Continually think about strategies and ideas to maximize our business -you will be a key contributor to developing our ongoing strategy for growth
  • Process and compile Amazon Vendor Central bulk orders
  • Coordinate with flash website buyers on sales opportunities. Prepare product proposals and send samples as needed.
  • Handle all product listing tasks including creating new product listings, updating existing product listings (photos, pricing, copy, etc)
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Monitor the status of volume orders by checking with the fulfillment team
  • Monitor customer reviews and respond to negative reviews to resolve issues/concerns
  • Monitor and upload inventory periodically across all websites
  • Coordinate image requests with photography team
  • Answer customer service inquires

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • At least 4 years work experience, and 2 years working in similar type role
  • Bachelors Degree
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • An ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure entrepreneurial environment
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead people
  • Advanced Excel skills
