Position Overview: Sales Engineers at Seojin Systems serve as the main technical resource for the account management sales team, handling both pre-sales and post-sales activities for new and existing clients. They lead and manage the technology evaluation phase of the sales process, collaborating closely with our sales and business teams to understand and address our customers’ challenges and requirements.
As key technical advisors and product advocates for Seojin Systems, Sales Engineers work in the field and partner with our design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver maximum value to our customers. They articulate technology and product positioning and develop value propositions for both business and technical users. Additionally, they must establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers throughout the entire sales cycle and post-sales support processes.
The position is remote, but the candidate must live in the location listed above, or be willing to relocate at their own expense, in order to adequately service our clients in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales: Work hand-in-hand with the Sales team to propel the sales process forward and achieve quota targets, contributing directly to our success.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with key customer accounts, serving as the go-to expert for product solutions and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Technical Solution Development:
- Lead the development of technical solutions by understanding customer requirements and mapping them to Seojin Systems' comprehensive portfolio.
- Leverage extensive technical expertise in metal sheet, PCB, SMD, cable, and connector capabilities to clearly articulate product benefits and innovative solutions.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, offering valuable insights and tailored recommendations for seamlessly integrating our cutting-edge products (switches, routers, servers) into their systems.
- Strategic Proposal Creation: Take charge of the technical aspects of RFI/RFQ responses for strategic opportunities, crafting proposals with unique value propositions that set Seojin Systems apart from the competition.
- Sales Support: Provide the account management and sales teams with tailored technical solutions that meet specific customer needs, including capabilities and roadmaps, ensuring smooth and successful deal closures.
- Customer Insight Integration: Gain deep insights into customers' products, technology, and business strategies, and leverage these insights to inform Seojin Systems Solutions roadmap.
- Product Requirements Clarification: Assist in clarifying customer product requirements and contribute to the development of comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW).
- Post-Sales Support: Facilitate technical discussions with customers regarding product questions and issues post-win, acting as a crucial liaison between customers and internal development teams.
- Stay Technologically Updated: Keep abreast of the latest technical directions from top networking and telecommunication partners, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation.
- Industry Participation: Represent Seojin Systems in relevant standards committees and industry groups, staying connected and influential within the industry.
- Engaging Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers, industry groups, and at trade shows, showcasing our cutting-edge solutions.
- Trend Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities, and provide valuable advice to customers.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a successful track record in enterprise networking, telecommunication sales and related technologies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the growth of our Sales/Technical organization and expanding customer base.
- Professional Communication: Demonstrate excellent written communication skills in emails, presentations, RFQs, RFPs, and reports, providing professional and consultative responses.
- Organized and Analytical: Possess strong organizational and analytical skills and utilize creative and collaborative approaches to overcome sales challenges.
- Self-Motivated: Be a self-driven individual capable of working independently in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, effectively communicating with team members, other departments, and customers, ensuring successful liaison and collaboration. Capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience: Have at least 5+ years of direct experience in telecom and access networking system sales to both enterprise networking and telecommunication markets, along with five years of relevant technical experience in networking and IT infrastructure.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of networking equipment, including switches, routers, and servers.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with related networking systems, topologies, applications, and advantages, 5G, O-RAN, Data Center, SAN, and security technologies.
- Industry Standards: Experience with relevant standards, organizations, and consortiums is highly desirable.
- Manufacturing Insight: Familiarity with manufacturing processes for metal sheets, PCB, SMD, cable, and connector technologies.
- Flexibility and Mobility: Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; an advanced degree is a plus.
