The primary purpose of this position is to insure the highest quality standards of practice to long term care facilities and their residents. The Fulfillment Manager works under the direction of the Pharmacy Operations Manager to ensure the Fulfillment Team is able to successfully fill and dispense daily prescriptions for timely dispatch.
Primary Duties:
- Management of the Fulfillment team, fielding call offs, PTO requests, creating the monthly schedule and coaching/ training of technicians
- Coaching technicians on job duties as needed
- Annual performance reviews for floor technicians
- Act as leader and role model for Fulfillment team
- Reassigns tasks during the shift based on workflow/troubleshoots any issues during the shift
- Master the pharmacy automation to assist with troubleshooting and any issues during the day
- Assist with the daily and regular maintenance of the pharmacy automation
- Assist the pharmacist in pulling medications
- Assist the pharmacist in filling medications on an as-needed basis
- Assist with resolving missing/backorder labels as needed
- Responsible for closing out the batch
- Ensure all orders are done according to operational goal guidelines
- Assist with oversight of all training for new floor technicians following established procedures
- Work directly with Pharmacy Operations Manager to implement all policies and procedures
- Sit in and actively participate in management meetings/duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Certified pharmacy technician
- Three to five years of pharmacy experience required in a management role, long term care experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems as they arise
- Must be able to work rotating schedules, evenings and weekends based on pharmacy needs
- Positive demeanor and attitude. Must be able to build rapport/good working relationships with technicians as well as other co-workers in the pharmacy.
- Work as part of a cohesive leadership team along with other Team Leads, Supervisors and other managers in the company
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. May need to lift up to 10-25 pounds on occasion.
