Looking for Audiometric Technician that is outgoing, energetic, self-motivated. Will work at both the Stratham & Portsmouth office.
Under the supervision of a designated licensed audiologist, the Audiometric Technician will support quality patient care and delivery of audiologic products and services.
The Audiometric Technician will:
Service hearing aids: cleaning & minor repairs
Perform basic otoscopy
Electroacoustic assessment of hearing aids
Air conduction and speech testing
Hearing aid orientation
Work one on one with patients to solve problems
Work with multiple types of technology: computers, cellphones, audiometers, office equipment, etc.
Be able to cover the front desk, check patients in & make appointments
Be comfortable with various office tasks ordering stock & putting supplies away
Professional written & verbal communication
High attention to detail & follow through
Be able to work independently yet take direction
MUST be patient & have great listening skills
Multi-tasking skills along with good time management
Understand healthcare privacy laws
Understand general business operations
Microsoft Office proficient, especially Word & Excel
Comfortable working with small items
Proficiency with patient and business computer systems preferred
Strong counseling skills
Have a proactive approach to customer service
At least 3 years of general work experience, in a health-related patient service setting preferred
Knowledge of hearing aid technologies highly desirable
Experience working with technical products a plus
