This position will support the International Space Station, Supply Chain Business Team by interfacing with the various International Space Station Programs to ensure overall delivery and quality performance to the Programs. Will also actively participate with Procurement Agents, Procurement Analysts and Program Managers to ensure Supply Chain Contracting Team functional alignment with Program strategies and timelines.

Position Responsibilities:
Provides technical and business support to meet supplier performance targets.
Applies technical skills and training to ensure supplier performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
Monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance to identify potential risks, issues and opportunities.
Gathers and reviews data for use in supplier performance evaluation and conducts supplier assessments.
Identifies and communicates potential risks and issues to Supplier Management and Program partners.
Identifies and participates in business and costs savings initiatives, business improvement activities.
Manages development of mitigation plans and deploys to suppliers to improve product delivery and quality performance.
Supports the development and implementation of supplier project plans and the development of Supplier and Category Strategies that support program Supply Chain Architectures and future business needs.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes.
More than 3 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity.
Experience in supplier management or supply chain management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
Experience leading proposals, contract terms and conditions development, and negotiation efforts.
More than 3 years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
