Overview of Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee a captivating selection of tequilas and mezcals, ensuring a diverse and premium offering that will set EL Bar apart.
Host engaging tastings and educational sessions, illuminating the unique qualities and histories of our spirits, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Collaborate with our bartenders to craft and refine innovative cocktail recipes that showcase the essence of our bar’s offerings and the spirit of Pier 57.
Keep our selection fresh and exciting by staying updated on industry trends and new product releases.
Provide comprehensive training for staff on tequila and mezcal knowledge, as well as advanced service techniques, ensuring top-notch service.
Represent EL Bar at media and promotional events, showcasing our expertise and exceptional offerings.
Ensuring all inventory/ordering is done efficiently and submitted on time
Your Strengths & Qualifications:
A deep knowledge of tequila and mezcal, including production processes, regions, and flavor profiles.
Previous experience as a sommelier, spirits expert, or in a similar role.
Strong presentation and public speaking abilities, with a flair for storytelling.
A genuine passion for educating others and sharing the cultural significance of tequila and mezcal.
Ability to work collaboratively with the bar team and management to create a cohesive and dynamic environment.
Certification in spirits or sommelier qualifications is a plus.
