Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a qualified Technical Business Analyst to support a Federal Agency. The selected candidate will assist with the assessment, documentation, and recommendations for a technical system. The candidate shall leverage new technologies to support the IT transformation development and implementation project and provide the content, format, and level of detail required for each deliverable/requirement of the information system.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Lead activities in a current state/as-is analysis to review, document and evaluate current state systems.
Interview key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and expected system benefits.
Review all system documentation and business processes to determine effectiveness, repeatability and areas for improvement compared to business goals and objectives.
Utilize analytical and technical skills to review current state processes and systems against best practices.
Assist in review of technical architecture, system usability, data availability and security.
Evaluate current system development lifecycle and product management processes for effectiveness.
Create process maps that take into account all inputs, actors, system functions and outputs.
Communicate with stakeholders to review best practices, workflow processes and current designs and document the process for how they are reviewed and evaluated as part of the system development lifecycle.
Assist in creating a solution vision for a future state system designs.
Support efforts in the review, assessment and improvement of the customer's documentation.
Review and document processes, procedures, and other documents to determine gaps.
Evaluate and review system compliance with the customer's IT policies and procedures, federal laws, regulations and standards.
Bachelor's Degree in management, business administration, information technology, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is preferred.
ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
Experience supporting U.S. Government customers is preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Ability to effectively and professionally handle strong-minded customers.
